New Amsterdams is a side project of Get Up Kids Matt Pryor. Since forming the Get Up Kids in 1996, Pryor needed another outlet for his stripped melodies. So with grainy acoustics and lyrical dynamics, the New Amsterdams issued their debut Never You Mind in fall 2000. Two years later, Pryor took a break from his bandmates to record a follow-up entirely by himself. It has been a couple of years since the New Amsterdams played the M-Shop. We are happy to have them back.
