Ames Chamber of Commerce
Located in Ames, Iowa the Ames Chamber of Commerce is a private, non-profit corporation made up of concerned business and professional people who volunteer their time and resources to make Ames a better place to live, work and do business. The mission of the Chamber is to strengthen the long-term economic vitality of its members and the community.
Ames Economic Development Commission
The Ames Economic Development Commission organizes and promotes sound economic growth in Ames and central Iowa by stimulating the expansion of existing industry, attracting new enterprises, and assuring a favorable community climate for new ideas and economic growth. The AEDC is made up of more than 100 business and professional people in partnership representing industry, education, and government.
Center for Advanced Technology Development
The Center for Advanced Technology Development (CATD) is a technology transfer center within Iowa State University (ISU). CATD works with companies to initiate and develop technology transfer projects involving faculty and scientists at the university and the Ames Laboratory (a U.S. Department of Energy lab located on campus).
Center for Industrial Research and Service
CIRAS, a part of Iowa State University Extension, the College of Engineering, and a partner with the Iowa Manufacturing Technology Center, provides Iowa manufacturing and processing firms with technical and management information so they can make better decisions
Iowa Department of Economic Development
The department consists of five organizational divisions which report to a division administrator. The division administrator reports to the Director and the Director reports to the Governor and to the IDED Board of Directors.

The SBDC conducts research, counsels, and trains business people in management, financing, and operating small businesses, and provides comprehensive information services and access to experts in a variety of fields.
Iowa State University Pappajohn Center
The ISU Pappajohn Center The mission of the Center is to enhance the entrepreneurial capacity at ISU and throughout the State of Iowa.
Iowa State University Research Park
The Iowa State University Research Park provides a material and human resource-rich environment where established technology-related firms, services, and research organizations can expand their opportunities; where young Iowa-based companies can develop their potential, and where science and technology entrepreneurial ventures can take root in Iowa.
